Garrett Lacara, who lives in the River Oaks community of Fairview with his wife, Mary Beth, is a candidate for the Fairview City Council seat number 3. Garrett is a fiscal conservative with a firm background in government, law and business.
Garrett is running for the Council seat because he firmly believes in FULL government transparency. For example, the COMPLETE proposed budget for the Town should be posted on the Town website along with ALL financial reviews of the Town finances as was performed in the last year so that we can all see what the Town is doing.
Garrett believes in the NEED to stop the expansion of government except in the areas of safety and health which directly impacts our citizens. We don’t need the third floor in town hall held vacant for future expansion. We are only 9,000 people in 3,000 households on 10 square miles of land. We don’t need another floor of government!
Garrett also knows that we do not like driving on Stacy Road with the construction that has taken far too long and Greenville Avenue by the old railroad trestle where all year long we bounce in and out of potholes.
Garrett will be Fairview’s advocate whether it is a federal, state or a local issue. He will ask the tough questions and use his experience in government and business for the good of Fairview. Garrett believes that we need to shut the financial barn door now before the tax well runs dry.
